The 6-week journey
What is Yoga?
An introduction to Hatha Yoga — its philosophy, its history, and why it's still relevant today. We'll start with breath awareness, explore a few gentle postures, and open and close with 3 Oms. No experience needed, just show up.
The Breath
Pranayama — breathing practices — are at the heart of Hatha Yoga. This week we go deeper into the breath as a tool for calming the nervous system, building energy, and connecting body and mind. First introduction to Yoga Nidra.
The Body
We explore the Sun Salutation slowly and mindfully — broken down step by step so you understand each movement. We'll talk about alignment, how to listen to your body, and why we always offer variations. Longer Yoga Nidra this week.
The Mind
This week we introduce meditation — not as something complicated or mystical, but as a simple, practical tool you can use every day. We'll also touch on the 8 limbs of yoga and what it means to practice yoga off the mat.
Coming Together
We start building a full class flow — connecting everything we've learned. Introduction to chanting and why sound is part of the practice. Longer meditation. This week things start to feel familiar.
Integration & Arrival
A full traditional Hatha class — asana, pranayama, chanting, Yoga Nidra, and meditation — from start to finish. We celebrate what you've built and talk about where to go from here. You leave with a practice that's truly yours.

Questions
Do I need any yoga experience?
None at all. This course is designed specifically for people who are brand new to yoga. We start from zero and build gradually, so you'll never feel lost or left behind.
Do I need special equipment?
A yoga mat is helpful but not required for the first class. Comfortable clothes you can move in are all you need. If you join online, a quiet space at home works perfectly.
What if I miss a class?
Life happens. Sessions will be recorded so you can catch up at your own pace. That said, showing up live is where the real magic is — the group energy and live practice make a big difference.
Is this physically demanding?
Not at all. We move slowly and mindfully. Every posture comes with variations so you can always choose what works for your body. There is no pushing, no competition, no pressure.
What does trauma-informed mean?
It means the class is taught with awareness that everyone carries their own history in their body. You're always in control — nothing is forced, options are always offered, and your boundaries are fully respected.
